“I have been using APOLLO to assist with assessment marking and have found it highly efficient and reliable. It flags incorrect or borderline answers and provides detailed analysis, while importantly leaving the final assessment decision with the trainer. On average, I can now complete Knowledge Questions in around 5 minutes instead of 15, and Task 3 assessments in around 15 minutes instead of 40+min, including marking, providing feedback in Moodle and uploading the marked assessment. It has significantly reduced my marking time and workload while helping me maintain consistent, quality feedback for students.”

Phil says it has the potential to become a valuable assessment-support tool, particularly for improving marking efficiency and consistency across a broad range of units.
“Following on from my recent trial with the Apollo App, and after using it on two occasions the application is very positive. Its usability is quite straightforward with three main steps to assess the assessment against the guides and case study scenario files.
It gives a strong summary of what is correct or not for each assessment and provides feedback comments for each step. The NYS comments can be modified if needed based on the assessor’s judgement, then inserted onto the assessment with a red cross for the student to review the NYS feedback.
The end result is having the assessment fully graded and ready for download that is either Approved or Not Approved, including the assessor’s name and date.
Overall, this should save time for the assessor for both individual and batch submissions.
